Behind the scenes.

Imagine, pulling up on a stone covered driveway - entering through dark grey stone archways and seeing the greenest freshly mowed lawn in the centre. Hedges perfectly trimmed into an abstract pattern like a wave and running along the side of the house.

The large dark wood front door framed ornately by rounded white pillars, some of the house is decorated with touches of rustic orange patina.

This was my first impression of Turvey house, as we arrived to shoot the new brand that is Finnletta. - https://www.finnletta.co.uk/

Quintessential English core with an academia twist - Beautifully classic designs and sustainable slow fashion.

I couldn’t have imagined a better location.

Upon entering the most intriguing front door you are met with floods of natural light pouring through every room.

The large stone tiles set so precisely into the ground and weathered in the best possible way.

When you enter the main hall - the view is gasp worthy - I couldn’t help myself the ceiling was the most stunning feature I have seen in a period property for a long time - the natural light cascades down lighting up the large winding staircase.

This really is Downton Abbey worthy.

Even the furniture is period piece worth of antiques roadshow and so strategically placed, like a natural accident.

It’s amazing its been owned by the same family for 230 years.

Each room has its own character but the soft lighting that caresses each wall really inspires awe and softness throughout the entire building.

The rooms that were the most lived in made me smile, here is a house that has survived wars and is filled with so much life, love and art.

From photographs placed lovingly around shelves and surfaces to boots on the front porch and childrens toys scattered around the lounge.

The eclectic office was my favourite of all the rooms, it reminded me of the book shop from The Never Ending Story.

Full of trinkets, wonder and the normalities of everyday life.

The house was extravagant but with no pretension, you could tell the family loved and honoured the house and lived fully present in it.

Memories, mess and all.

Outside the old trees had homemade swings tied to their branches and the antique walls bore antique moss - I felt as though i were visitng a fictional place - Magical and somehow still reachable to those lucky enough to visit.

I hope you enjoyed photographs.

Take some magic with you.

All the best,
